"Groups" field keep appearing after being removed from screens

I have several projects where we are not using the "Groups" field and I don't want to display it in the screens, I have removed it from the Create/Edit/View Screens but it keeps appearing it again. Would someone know why it can be happening ? I have not found anything in the logs

Hello,

we have the same problem.

We have several Service Management projects and build our project structure before the group field was available. We use another customfield for the "groups function" and many automations are associated with that field.

That's why we kicked the groups field out of every screen, but after a while it just re-appears in every service management related screen and we need to kick it out again.

Is this a bug?

I don't believe there is a native Groups field - what kind of field is it?

Is this happening in just one Project, one Issue Type - or are you seeing it reappear in multiple places?

If the latter, have you removed the field from every Screen associated with any active Screen Scheme?

It's a native field that appeared with Jira Service Management version 5.9, that allows to share the requests with Groups.

It's happening in multiple projects and I've removed from all screens
