Hello,,
is there an easy way to fill in the assignee or approver of an incident with the lead or assignnee defined in the component defined in the incident ?
or do I have to do scripting ?
thank you
Hi Xavier:
Welcome to the community. You have multiple options for consideration -
1) Using automation rule creation when issue/incident is created, then it will be triggered to update your issue/incident's assignee/approver based on the components. Here are a few references on Automations for Jira -
https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-cloud-automation/
Sample templates on automation rules - https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library#/rule-list?systemLabelId=all&page=1&pageSize=20&sortKey=name&sortOrder=ASC
Smart values usage/syntax to supplement your automation rules - https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-smart-values-issues/
2) Using WF customizations. For WF customizations, you can add post-functions calls to update your issues/incidents fields (i.e. after issue is created).
Hope this helps.

Hello Joseph,
Thank you for your quick reply.
I went through your links.
I think that scripting is only possible when buying an add-on, otherwise this is not possible in the cloud
Thus I believe that in automation using the "lead field" from the components is only possible with scripting and only when buying an addon ,
Could you confirm my statement is correct ?
thank you
