Is it possible to disable permission to edit specific fields (like request type and summary) after the request has appeared on the service support desk?

Hey Vladimir,

You can remove certain fields from the issue view screen, which still mean they are not there for the Agent to edit.

It is tricky with the two fields you have suggested as they are system fields. If you remove the summary from the screen it will still appear, but not be editable. Request type cannot be removed from the screen.

Beyond this, you cannot apply permissions to specific fields.

I hope this helps

Ben.

@Vladimir Matveev -

In our on-prems (Data Center) environment, we uses an add-on (Adaptavist ScriptRunner) to implement the additional controls on fields via the Behaviours component.  Unfortunately, it is not possible out of the box without having additional paid third party add-on.

Here is their link in Marketplace,  It is an excellent add-on to have in any Jira/JSD envs.
