Had the right to do this previously but somewhere along the way it disappeared. Also cannot assign an assignee anymore.

could you double check that you
1) have a Jira Service Management License
2) The Service Desk Agent Role in the specific project?
Easiest way to find that out is to use the Permission helper and check for one of the affected issues :) it will tell you what you're missing. You find that in the System settings
Rebekka - thanks for the information about determining where the problem lies. I do not have Jira Service Management license and Service Project Agent Permission on this project. Still working on trying to reset those.
