Why does clickable URLs on a Confluence article page get a 404 via Jira Service Desk?

Shan January 15, 2021

The Confluence article page was added to the Jira Service Desk as a knowledgebase article. Some of the clickable URLs on the Confluence article returns a 404 page when accessed via Jira Service Desk.

Upon checking the page links on the article page from the source, they all work inside Confluence.

I'm wondering what made some of them won't work via Jira Service Desk? (I made sure that the inline page that points to the correct target and anchor were copied correctly)

See Jira Service Desk example page in question:

Hello @Shan ,

In your initial description of the issue you noted:

I made sure that the inline page that points to the correct target and anchor were copied correctly

And I just wanted to clarify are the errors occurring on anchored links?  Because if that is the case what you are running into sounds like what is described in the following bug report where Links to Anchors on a page in Knowledgebase results in "Not Found" error:

let me know if this lines up with what you are seeing

Regards,
Earl

Hi @Earl McCutcheon,

Thanks for responding.

And I just wanted to clarify are the errors occurring on anchored links?

Yes -- the title headers where it is auto-converted as anchors of the topics on the page.

I've looked at that bug report and it is very similar to what I'm experiencing and it lines up to what I'm seeing.
