When the requester sets a required date, it sometimes prevent the dev from changing the status.

It seems the system compares the required date to created date. This validation should be done when the item is created, if necessary. It should not check at the time the dev updates the status.
When the dev tries to change the status to "In Progress" or "Resolved", this error prevents us to update it. For a workaround, we must temporarily change the required date to a future date and change it back after we update the status.


Is this WAD?  Is there a way to fix this? your help would be appreciated.
