Updating the fields on the default Onboarding Form

Hi,

I created an HR project from the template in Service Management. I understand that I can select different forms for an Oboarding request or make my own. Eventually I will probably do that.

What I am trying to do right now is make the Hiring Manager field options instead of required.  

I would also like to be able to add a free form text box to that form as well.

I have tried so many things and changed fields but no matter what I do I can;t get any changes to take effect in the form shown on the portal

Have a look at the field config under project settings > request types. Find your request type and edit fields. Here you should be able to make the desired field optional in the customer form
