Unable to assign a new hire tickets

Hey Community,

I have a new hire starting today, but when I try to assign him an issue I get this error:

User 'ug:91b4c64d-42db-4308-9463-6749f9179d2a' cannot be assigned issues.

He is in the project and has the "Agent" roll
I am the owner of the project
The previous owner recently left the company

How can I assign him tickets?

Could you please share some information?

  1. Are you able to assign a ticket to another user??
  2. Do you have assigned issue permission ??
  3. The user which you are trying to assign an issue does he have assignable issue permission ??
  4. It would be helpful if you share a screenshot with us.

Mayur,

1. I can assign issues to everyone else on the team
2. As far as I know I have assigned issue permissions, I am the owner/admin of our Helpdesk, but I think I lack grande Jira admin permissions
3. In the Helpdesk he has the "agent" roll, which is the default roll created by Jira
4. I'd be more than happy to share screenshots, what context are you looking for?

I think it is also of note that we can tag him as a requested participant, and is receiving email updates on tagged tickets

Could you please share a screenshot of error which you are getting and also screenshot of permission scheme mainy on Assignable permission.
