Hello, I have created a new generic JSM project using the IT template. I need to edit the main portal customer screen and I can not find that screen. Any help is greatly appreciated. Things I have tried are
1. logged in to the project as the admin and went into project settings.
2. selected the screens link on the left side bar and searched for all screens associated with my new project.
When looking at all the screens and screen schemes I am NOT able to see the default customer screen that shows up for a customer.
Hi @Don Roberts welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You may want to check out the following documentation article: Customize your help centers
The Help Center is the main portal screen. It consists of one or more customer portals (the front-end of a service project).
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Hi Dave. Thanks for the info before but unfortunately it wasn't' helpful. That covered the home page for my service management site. I am looking for documentation for how to edit the home screen for a specific JSM project. My example is when a customer clicks on one of my portal links on my help center home page the project displays a main page for that specific project. If i could upload a screen shot I would. :-(

There's not much you can change about the portal itself natively. You would need a third-party app like Refined to customize the portal.
The portal basically exists of the request types you create in your service project, optionally categorized by portal groups or topics.

Hi @Don Roberts, are you asking about how to add the request types to that project's main page, (called the portal groups page), or how to do things like change the background colors, fonts, etc. on that page? If it's the first, you would use Project Settings > Portal Settings > Portal groups and create a new group:
The resulting page the Customer would see would be the project portal page with all the Request Types they can choose from:
If you're wanting to change the look and feel of that page, then @Dave Mathijs's answer about a 3rd-party app would be your only option right now.
FYI, to add a screenshot to a Community post, the screenshot has to be a saved file (as far as I know) and you can click the "Insert Photos" icon in the formatting bar of the post's dialog box:
