I want to set a rule that will append sharing a ticket with an organization when a ticket is created. I've seen some comments on the community about adding an organization, but I need to always add a group to the existing groups shared with when a specific ticket type is created. Is there a way to do this?

So the link you provided should get you most of the way there I think. Note that the link is associated with Server so there are some subtle differences. The one thing you would want to add to your automation rule is a condition for the specific issuetype. Do you have a rule you are currently working on that is not quite right? If so please share.
