Searching Issues and linked child Issues

I'd like to get some selected initiatives and the children of those initiatives.

The advanced search is going to used with Advanced Roadmaps (formerly Portfolio) . I tried : issuekey in childIssuesOf("")

Can I get with on single advanced search both Parents and Children issues?

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

You cannot get both the initiative and the linked issues in one JQL, in order to do that you would need an app like JQL Search Extensions for Jira & reports,Enhanced Search (JQL & Subqueries) or Scriptrunner.
