In jira service management project. i enabled customer notifications for Request created. Then i edited the email content by clicking on provided "Edit" url But it seems like the changes not reflecting. I'm seeing the mail content like "Just confirming that we got your request. We're on it.". I'm not sure weather this is an right approach to modify it or need to do more other changes. Please suggest.

Perhaps the problem can be due to language and translations? When you edit the template under customer notifications you edit the basic template.
Go to Project settings > Language support > pick a language > Customer Notifications.
There you have the all the notification events once again for each language.
