Portal - Force login or prompt for login

We cannot enable SSO, don't ask. So our users have to logon with a dedicated email alias.

We send them to our portal, they can see our JSM projects, and the login button is in the upper right.

It appears they can open a ticket as anonymous user, which is maybe the more appropriate solution.

1) We'd like them to be forced to login or for the portal to see they are not logged in.

2) OR block anonymous access.

Anyone run into this?

You can control anonymous access under Customer permissions, illustrated below. you need to disallow public access. Please note that if any project is open to public then they will be able to open an issue in those projects w/o logging in.
