Outlook to Jira add-ins greyed out

Dear colleagues,

Do you know how can I use Outlook to Jira connectors, as they are greyed out into Outlook? I am looking to connect Outlook with Jira automatically and also Jira Boards.

I have added 3 add-ins related to Jira into outlook via: Business Apps – Microsoft AppSource

Thank you

Hi Carmen,

you have added this to Outlook, but have you also installed the Jira add-ons in your Jira instance?

It seems the buttons related to Jira (add-ins) now show as blue/active. Maybe it was after a PC restart? I didn't add this add-ins into Jira (server) as I don't have yet admin rights to a Jira project.

But, I still need to connect with my Jira URL link. I get an error as of now, it is related to user rights e.g. maybe I need admin rights/technical rights?

In Jira you need to install the Jira version of that plugin. Once you have done that, the two apps will be able to communicate.

Also, if you are on the DC version and not the cloud version you might need to open up a port to allow traffic to pass from your server environment to the outside.
