Hi,

I have added two new Issue Types (Data request and Application request).

Both of them share the same workflow as an existing issuetype, same Screen and Screen Schema.

When I want to link an Issue Type to a Default Request Type, only one of the dropdowns has value (an existing Issue Type), but I cannot change the selection of any of the new Issue Types.

Any idea what can be the reason behind it?

Hi @Eugenia Mantero

As I understand this feature you can set default request type for issue type from existing request types assigned to this issue type on portal. So if you created 2 issue types, please create request types and then you will be able to set default request type.

Let me know if that works.

Seba

Hi Seba, thanks for your answer. I am quite new in JSM and I realized the solution was somewhere else.

First of all, I assigned a different issue type to each request type

Having done that, now I can assign a Default Request Type in the labs section.

Thanks!

@Eugenia Mantero

I am having the same issue. I am unable to assign a request type to an issue type under Features -> Default request types -> Default request type settings. The list for request types shows blank.

I see that you successful in assigning a unique Issue Type to different Request Type. May I know how did you achieve that?

Hi @Ashwin ,

Go to your project > Project settings > Workflows

Help1.png

Make sure each Issue Type is assigned to a workflow

Then go to Request Types, and click on any of them. Configure the workflow that you want and the Issue Type related to it.

When you have done this, try to go and set your default Request Type.
