Hi Nickolas.

If you're getting the error that a field is required, it was most likely marked as being required in your projects Field Configuration. To verify this, open up your projects settings, this can be done from the cog in the lower left of the menu. From here you can find your Field Configuration scheme, and the configuration that's applied to your project. In the configuration search for the field Manager, and check if it's required. If you're in the edit view, it will give you the option to click a button that says Optional, this means it's required.

Out of curiosity are you able to submit tickets through your service desk portal but not through the Create button when in the software?

While nobody made changes to your project, field configurations are shared between projects. Most likely someone made a change in theirs, and it affected yours as well.

As far as affecting email, that shouldn't be an issue. Unless you're using some post functions to assign data to fields. Email handlers only populate information into 2 spaces, your Summary and your Description.

Hope this helps!

-Nich.
