I have added a new Request Type and it is available in the Portal.

However it is not available on the Service Requests to change the Request Type. What am I missing?? Additional question, can I change the order in the Project Settings? (first screenshot)

Is the new request type using the same issue type as the other ones? If it is assigned to a different issue type then for example Get IT Help you will not see it in the request type list.
I figured it out. I forgot to change it from Task to the appropriate Request Type in the Workflow options when setting up a New Request Type.
