We have a third party that is using Jira help desk and we would like to integrate our jira help desk to theirs to easily pass tickets from their side to ours and back.
Are there API's and integrations to use for this or would it be simpler to use emailing.
Any suggestions are appreciated. We are currently on the free version, but will be upgrading soon, so if there is a better option on premium versions that could also help.
First, I'd set up an application link between the two of them. This will enable you to use remote issue links between the two of them, which enables some level of "integration".
For the more clever stuff (like "update one issue updates a remotely linked issue as well"), yes, you can use the REST APIs and Webhooks to exchange information, but you may want to look into apps that can provide synchronisation for you.
