Jira and Active Directory

Hi all,

Is there any way I can get Jira to ADD users to an active directory security group?

Im trying to setup an approval workflow, so once access to X is approved, it will run a task/ script to add the user to an AD security group. Is this possible?

Ive had a look though scriptrunner, and done some google-fu, but cannot find an answer.

Ideas?

In your case, Jira pulls from AD and you will not be able to update AD security groups since the group is managed within your AD setup and not in Jira.  However, if you create Jira internal group and manage the group (since it is managed within Jira), then you can conduct membership management of the internal group.
