Hi,
We are evaluating to migrate from Zendesk to JIRA Service Desk, One of the things we do with Zendesk is to allow our customers to log in using the same credentials they use to our system via OAuth, is this possible with JIRA Service Desk?
Cheers,
Oscar.
Hi Oscar,
JIRA Service desk is a JIRA add-on and uses JIRA authentication, where OAUth is possible, so it sounds possible (ref. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Allowing+OAuth+Access)
What I'm wondering is if we can use OAuth for JIRA (for internal SSO login) and not use it for service desk customers.
The link that you posted only talks about external sites/gadgets using jira's OAUTH service to login. Not the other way round where Jira or Service-desk is authenticating users via another enterprises' OAUTH service. For instance Zendesk allows authenticating users externally Enterprise Single Sign On. Does Service desk has anything similar ?
