Jira Service Desk Cloud portal invite email not sending

I turned off notifications, then added organizations and then added customers. None of those customers got an invite to the portal. I turned on the notifications added a few customers and they all received the invitation. I need to get all the customers invited to the portal.  Service desk will not send them out. I have tried:

  • deleting the customer and adding them again-- no workie why?
  • tried to find reset password in the JSD cloud and not able 
  • at this point i would settle for a hard Generic link  that I could send in a blanket e-mail that would force a sign in and new password
  • the other articles and suggestions i found were for JIRA not the JSD cloud install.

I really need to find a solution here.
