Hello All,
As I understand copying a Forms field populated with a data connection to an existing custom field(by linking) is not possible at the moment.
Someone can think of a workaround ? maybe using automation or script ?
or even using an API to get the data connection field value and push it to custom field ?
Thanks !
Sure @John Funk
I'm using Form field with data connection using API,
so I now have a dropdown field linked to external source of values.
this part works perfectly.
Now my problem is that I want to use the user choice for this field(after submit)
I need to save it to custom field somehow to use it later in the process.
Usually when it is not a data connection enabled in can use 'Link to Jira field'
but it docent allow me to do that 'A field cant be linked to both a Jira field and data connection'
so I'm trying to think of a workaround to make it happen show how.
Added some images.
Thanks!
Hi Tal,
I am not exactly following your question. Can you provide more details or a step-by-step what you are trying to do and what you hope to see?
