Hello Community
Our JIRA service Management users have asked us if it is possible to add the phone number in the customer profile in addition to the email address when creating customer profiles.
Do you have an idea?
Would it be possible to add additional information in the customer profile under JSM? Mainly the phone number because, indeed the support team need to call them sometimes.
Knowing that we use a custom field for this so that the customer can put his number? But if he makes several requests, it will be annoying that he fills it in each time he creates a new issue. It will be more convenient to have it when consulting his profile...
Thanks in advance,
With best regards

Hi @Moez SAID ,
using builtin features, you can't. There is an external app for this need https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223751/customer-details-for-jira-service-management?tab=overview&hosting=server
Hope this helps,
Fabio
Hello @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ ,
Thanks for your quick answers! it's surely useful. We'll see if it's something worth integrating a plugin to meet our need.

The question makes 100% sense. It's just unbelievable that this is not available OOTB. But what is this place called? Community? This is nothing like a community. Just a place where some companies spam all questions with links to their poor apps. I am so disappointed. Jira is like the most configurable tool out there but it lacks the MOST BASIC FUNCTIONNALITY to properly provide support. We only work with external customers. That means, each and every of our 1200 customers have a different company name, a different address, a different phone number, etc. But there is NO WAY for us/them to store that information in their profiles? This is laughable, sad and baffling at the same time.

Hi,
Unfortunately, such functionality is not available out of the box. You can achieve it using our app Customer Details for Jira Service Management. Thanks to it, you can define fields where you want to store this additional data. What's also helpful, they can be filled not only by agents but also by customers.
If you need any assistance with this app or you want to discuss your use case, book a meeting with our team via calendly.com/appsvio
