Is there a way we can prevent users from editing the ticket fields once a ticket has been submitted?

Our business users have asked if we can prevent users from editing the ticket fields once the ticket is created. Currently, users can open the ticket and change the information in the fields. Is there a way to change this and make these fields static after ticket submission? See the jsm ticket issue.PNGattachment for reference.

Hi @GST_IT_Contentmgmt welcome to the Atlassian Community!

For the specified issue type, split your issue operation screens into:

  • Create Issue Screen
  • View Issue Screen
  • Edit Issue Screen

These belong to a screen scheme which is optionally linked to an issue type.

Put your read-only field only on the Create and/or View Issue Screen.
