Is there a way to hide Reply to customer option on a user level in JSD?

In JSD, I want to hide the reply to customer option for some of the users in my project. Is that possible?

Hi @Rukmani you won't be able to do that, it's not supported

Hey @Hernan Halabi _Elite IT Consulting Group_ Then what would be the alternative for this? The plug in for this has to be installed at a user level which is kind of tedious to do.

@Rukmaniyou can disable commenting for specified group:

Property Key =

Property Value = false

Like Clayton Gee likes this

@Damian Wodzinski Will that disable internal comments as well? I need to disable only the external commenting

What @Damian Wodzinski would apply for all types of comments.

@Rukmani I don't see many alternatives here. Why use JSD if you don't want to have interaction with the customer?

Nope, it should be disabled for some users so they don't accidentally post internal communication to the customer. @Hernan Halabi _Elite IT Consulting Group_

If they have JSD license, they will always have the option to add comments to the customers, and only training can help you with that, you can restrict that from Jira. There is the contributor role as well, that in that case comments are always internal but there are some other limitations as well, maybe that's what you are looking for. Take a look to this documentation to have all the differences between the different roles

@Rukmani did you get this working to your satisfaction?  We want to do the same thing.

Hey @Darrin Kinney , yes. We created a chrome plug in & installed it on a user level.

Hi: @Rukmani can you share this Chrome plugin? We have the same issue and would benefit greatly from this.
