I need to find one value in comment and put it in custom field

Hello,
I hope somebody can help me.

My problem is I need to add value from comments to the custom field in chronological order.

Basically in the comment section agents add somewhere value #inbound, etc. I need to find this value and add it to the custom field, as usual, there are many comments and communication with clients, so I need to add them in chronological order.

This is needed to get statistical analysis.

Will appreciate any help

Hi Druvis,

Thanks so much for your question.

Our built-in automation allows you to change the value of a custom field, but you’ll have to replace the value, rather than appending to it. On the other hand, Automation for Jira allows you to read the current value and append to that, but you can’t get the specific comment (the latest in your case) to process.

Thank you,

Nafis

Hi, thanks for the answer, but we did it with the REST API because it was doing it the way we wanted :)
