I am reviewing Jira Service Management; how do I use Opsgenie with Jira Service Management? Are there settings in each application so that it allows to user to create an incident in service manager and get an alert from opsgenie?
Hi @Robert Fernandez ,
Customers typically integrate JSM and Opsgenie to have JSM issues create Opsgenie alerts, have Opsgenie alerts create JSM issues, or both! The integration is bidirectional meaning that any action taken in either system can reflect in the other. The JSM Opsgenie document will explains how both can be accomplished: https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/integrate-opsgenie-with-jira-service-management/
Opsgenie does offer a new JSM cloud integration that can easily connect with your JSM without the steps above if your JSM is connected to your Opsgenie under the Settings menu > Atlassian products tab: https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/integrate-opsgenie-with-jira-service-management-cloud/
