How to use a Service's Service ID property in another Insight Object

Anil Jassi June 9, 2022

I'm trying to return the Service ID property of a Service for use in another Insight Object but have so far been unable to.

My use case is that I want to create a custom Object Schema for Services where I can filter the list of services when displaying in an Insight Object field in a Request (if we were able to edit the default Services schema this wouldn't be necessary).

I also want the default 'Affected services' field to be updated via an Automation based on the selection from the Insight Object field, but for this I need the Service ID of the Service.

I'm not able to successfully access the ID using IQL, is there a way to do this?

This is what I'm trying to get from the default Service schema:

For use in this field in my custom Services schema:

I can do this query which returns the label of the Service, but I'd like the ID to be returned and with the use of a Placeholder:

"Service ID" = "ari:cloud:graph::service/0edd3f4a6601-215b-4ef4-9396-091f6af1d710/a3a9ba22-e7f5-11ec-91d7-b66a0be7"

Any help would be appreciated!
