I have downloaded scriptrunner, because JIRA doesn't offer the ability to hide/disable comments on a specific transition, so I need to write a validator to prevent the transition if someone tries to post a comment during that transition.
Hi Aaron,
I'm assuming you have a transition screen and you want disable the comment field. Give the Power Scripts Live Fields a chance.
This would be the function that you need to use in the transition screen (lfdisable): https://confluence.cprime.io/display/JJUPIN/lfHide
The concept of live fields is bit difficult at the beginning, it works like a charm for us: https://confluence.cprime.io/display/JJUPIN/How+Live+Fields+work
Cprime support is excellent for any recommendations. Hyrum Steffensen is the key person you want to talk to.
Regards.
