I can't find a way to automaticaly escalate tickets created by customers to opsgenie major incidents. I only can see option to do it manually by Create Major Incident button in issue view. I would like to escalate certain tickests (for example with highest priority) to Major Incidents and benefit Opsgenie alerting options
This took me a while to figure out, trawling through documentation.
You need to use generic Jira system webhooks, sending to a generic OpsGenie integration.
The webhook configuration lets you filter based on JQL and event type. This is enough to generate the Alert in OG, but I haven't gotten to really optimise it yet with field mapping and setting priority etc.
