How to allow 3rd party to access Jira Service Desk using Excel Add-on

I am currently working with a group of students and would like them to use JIRA Add-on in Excel to pull data from Jira Service Desk.

 

How do I go about granting access to their gmail account to allow them to do so?

You just need to add them as users in your Jira instance. Have you done this and found issues?
