How long will the redirection of old URL of Atlassian Domain to the new one will rok?

Hi guys,

I read the article about changing URL: 

https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/update-a-product-url/

There is the info that Atlassian will store the previous URL in your site’s history and redirect all links to the new URL. 

Do you know for how long this will work with the redirection of the old URL to the new one?

Hi @Marta Mita,

There is no information on that matter in the documentation. That suggests that there is nothing in place to remove the URL from the history and:

• you may assume that it will stay there;
• at the same time it would be wise to communicate with your users to use the new URL consequently and modify any integrations you may have set up in the past to the new URL as well. There is no rush, but keeping an old URL in use while it is no longer visible will over time cause confusion at some point.
