How do we ensure that an issue can be viewed but NOT edited after it is closed.

Monica Joseph February 2, 2023

I am trying to transition from another ticketing tool to JIRA. To replicate the functionality in existing tool, I want to ensure that once the issue is closed, it shoudl not be EDITABLE.

Please provide suggestions.

Both @Dave Mathijs and @Line Lengfelder are correct! I just tested per Line's documentation and confirmed this make an issue uneditable when adding the jira.issue.editable property to false.

I suppose you'd like it to be editable after resolved, but not after closed?

Seems this should work:

Issues are Editable In Closed State | Jira | Atlassian Documentation
