How do i log in to the community as a separate user?

Vocoda Support March 29, 2019

I have access to two accounts in JIRA - a group account and an individual account. When I log in i don't get the option to actually log in, it just simply logs me in as the group account user rather than my individual user.

How do i stop this from happening??

This can be quite frustrating - I’ve got 3 Atlassian accounts and depending on what I’m interacting with (Cloud JIRA/conf, licensing, community) I’m using different combinations. Clicking on Logout from the apps sometimes appear to log you out but when you click login again, it’ll just log you back in with the previously used account.

Two ways I work around this:

1 - go to id.atlassian.com and try and logout/login there - this seems to give better results than logging out of an application itself (community etc), but still not always

2 - if you’re using Chrome, setup another People profile (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2364824?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en) and login to each people profile with your different accounts. Each profile has its own cookies/history/etc just like an Incognito window that Nic recommended, however one benefit I find is that Incognito will not save any history/cookies/bookmarks etc and profiles will, and this is just more convenient IMO.

Hi

This is annoying. I have this account and a work support account

The only option is to remove the cookie to forget sso or as I do use chrome and firefox for different accounts.

I'm afraid you have to log out of the account currently in use and log in with the other separately.

Hi - i've tried that several times. I log out, get the sign up or log in link, click log in but at that point it is logging me straight in and not giving me the option to enter credentials

Hmm, that sounds like your browser is remembering your Atlassian account.  I'd try

  • another browser, or "private browsing" mode in the existing one (as the mode will not share data with your other session).  I use this quite a lot to log in here, and then the main session to use my Adaptavist Atlassian account
  • logging out, then clearing the cookies etc.

Super annoying, sometimes I'm unaware which account was logged in, now I have three accounts, I never intended to have and need to go through hoops and hurdles to make sure I'm logged in with the one I want to post with (not company, but personal, since I don't want to lose my community account if I change jobs etc.).
