Hi,
I want to be able to create a workflow that is a form or a service request, that the customer fills up for specific services, and then it goes to an engineer assigned on the rota, to fill up, and send back estimates on time required.
If this is easy, let me know, otherwise a course on workflows would also be good, if you can suggest one.
Hi Menino, welcome to the Atlassian Community!
This should be fairly straightforward to set-up.
For workflows, take a look at: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/work-with-issue-workflows/
For approvals: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/set-up-approvals/
For auto-assigning to your engineers, refer to: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library/auto-assign
You can also take a look at some templates for inspiration (or to use as a start): https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/templates
Hi Ward,
Thanks for your links. I did try them, but I saw that my workflow was read-only (for some odd reason).
I did export another workflow, that I wanted to modify, but if I put it in the Atlassian Marketplace, is this open to everyone, and can I anyways, import it from there?
After modifying the workflow, will the same workflow be modified in the marketplace, or just the imported workflow?
Apart from this, if I create just a change request, without workflows, to get the objective that I need, which is, for the customer to create a request for services, with the criteria and description and it goes to an engineer, who enters the estimates and plan, and is then approved by management?
R,
Menino
