Has anyone associated JSM Cloud with TEAMS, rather than SLACK

Paul Hart August 12, 2024

I am specifically looking to have an SLA breach email message appear in an existing HD  TEAMS chat channel for visibility and resolution.  I am not specifically looking to use the conversational chat extension.

Hi @Paul Hart

I'm sure you can setup something like this with the proposed automation rule by Alicia. However, since the shutdown of the connectors in Ms Teams has been announced this might be interfering: Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams

I'm working at yasoon the company behind Microsoft 365 for Jira - Outlook Email, Teams, Calendar | Atlassian Marketplace (including a MS Teams integration and sets of automations).

We launched a video explaining the use of Jira Automation and Teams natively without using connectors and additional how our app is working. Maybe you'd like to give that a try: Jira automation: How to deal with the retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams - YouTube

Best regards,

Benjamin

Hi @Paul Hart !

I have done this in our MS Teams!  I used the SLA breach automation trigger and then used the Send Microsoft Teams Message.  You will need to setup the Webhook URL with the Teams channel you need to use.

Here is a link to the documentation: Use automation with Microsoft Teams | Cloud automation Cloud | Atlassian Support2024-08-15_15-08-15.png

Let me know if this helps.

Alicia
