Hi.
I try to get the e-mail handler to find the IssueKey in the body of incoming e-mails, as several external parties who send us e-mails use a subject splitter that removes some "unknown" references, this affects our comment functionality and several replies end up as new tickets.
I have come to the conclusion that I am doing something wrong and am trying to check here to see if anyone has any good advice or guidance!
Email field are set to be "Body"
Regular Expression should be "ABC-.*" (?)
But I'm getting nowhere when it comes to "Issue matches (JQL):"
Is there anyone who have already setup this or could point me in the right directrion?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Solved it!
Email field: Body
Regular Expression: ABC-\d+
(Will match anything with email body starting with ABC- and any following digits)
Issue matches (JQL): issueKey = $!group0
(Use variables as a reference to the capture group values: $!group0 (matches the whole expression), $!group1 (matches the first capture group), etc. Variables are populated with a value if capture groups exist in your regexp)
