Escalating tickets doesn't automatically copy over all the information

Using the Linked Issue - information provided by the user doesn’t automatically get copied to the escalated ticket.

How can I do that so that all information can be copied automatically to the escalated ticket??

Hello @Kabanda David,

I am Marlene and product manager of Deep Clone for Jira.

Do you want to

  • copy the ticket
  • including the comments of the user and the agent in the copied ticket
  • move the copy to another Jira project?

Hi @Marlene Kegel - codefortynine

yes, we usually create a linked issue when we want to escalate the ticket to another project, but we want all the information in the original ticket to be copied automatically so that we can find them to escalated ticket or another jira project instead of typing them

This means that the page we have in the original ticket should be the same as the one in escalated ticket

If you're open to try out a Marketplace app, you can check out Deep Clone for Jira.

With Deep Clone you can:

  • Clone issues.
  • Move them to other projects and/or issue types while cloning.
  • Clone comments (and more advanced issue content)
  • Create a link between the Clone and the original issue.
  • And much more...

Cloning and moving and cloning comments is not possible at the moment with the standard clone feature, as far as I know.

You can watch this demo video to see how our app works.
