We have investigated the issue and found that the message is stating “Configured request type has too many visible required fields”. We have checked the project settings and none of the custom fields is mandator and the locked field cannot be amended.
how do we find what is causing the rejection of the email
Check the required fields on the requests, as well as the issues. Bear in mind email really can't handle any mandatory fields other than summary and description.
there are no fields set as mandatory and it only occurs randomly.
