Does Jira’s Insight CMDB integrate with Sunbird’s asset inventory ?

We have Insight CMDB ( cloud ) installed.

But as we are already using Sunbirds asset inventory.

1 ) Is there any option so that we can integrate INSIGHT with SUNBIRD asset inventory,
So we can use both the asset management systems paralelly.

Hi @siva ,

Insight can use imports to populate itself but on Cloud there is currently on the CSV import.

On Server there were more methods (such as SQL DB import/ LDAP Import / ... ) so I'm hopefull that these will also become available over time on Insight Cloud.

If however you can export your data from Sunbird to a csv you could perfectly import them in to Insight.

That however is as far as Imports/Integrations go at the moment. Did you have a specific use case in mind?

Thanks for the reply,

We do have use case ,

as we can import data from Sunbird do we have a possibility to integrate insight with Sunbird so the process is automated rather than importing ?

Hi @siva ,

The fact that you have a use case I get, I was more wondering what that case was :)

Well there is no real import between sunbird and Insight, you just have the option to do a CSV import or use the REST api.

It will never be an integration, just an import. And right now the only import you have is CSV (which is manual).

So you could write a tool that is hosted locally that pulls data from Sunbird and then injects it in to Insight using the REST api.

Out of the box tho, I doubt there is any integration available.

That Makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for the reply Dirk, apprecite the response.

Can i revert back in case i need more clarification if needed. ??
