When creating a new jira issue from a Jira Service Desk ticket, the contents of the description field are getting copied across from the ticket to the issue but the display is warped - displays with '<p> wrapping around all lines of text.
Is there any way to stop this happening? or even to stop the description field getting copied across?
Hi Fozia Khan,
Thanks so much for your question.
Following your description, I cannot reproduce the symptom you described in latest version of JSM.
Could you please specify the exact version of JSD/JSM are you using? If you are on an old version of JSD/JSM, I would suggest that you upgrade to the latest version of JSM, if that’s possible.
In addition, as long as the description field used for the specific request type on customer portal is the same ‘Description’ issue field, it will be rendered in Jira issue view.
If you would like an alternative ‘Description’ field (other than the default issue ‘Description’ field) to show in the request creation form in customer portal, you can follow this ‘Customize the fields on a request type' section. That way, the ‘Description’ content from customer would go into another field other than the default 'Description’ Jira issue field.
Thank you,
Martin Ma
