I work in a support team dealing with production issues. Our customers log JIRA ticket in a Project. Is there a way I can automatically convert the project tickets to tasks on a Kanban board without doing it manually one by one?

Hi Anita - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can create an automation rule that creates a corresponding Jira Software issue and links the two. The rule would be based on a condition that uses a field value in the JSM ticket submitted.

@Anita Swanepoel -

Welcome to the community.  I agreed with @John Funk suggested.  To supplement his suggestion, here are a few reference links on Automations for Jira for automation rules -

https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library#/rule-list?systemLabelId=all&page=1&pageSize=20&sortKey=name&sortOrder=ASC

Hope this also helps.

Hi @Anita Swanepoel ,

First create a Filter for the tickets and then create a Project or continue with the same project and create a New Kanban board. Inside the Kanban board use the filter which was created for tickets.

Once it has configured, then the tickets created under project will be shown in the Kanban board.

Hi @Anita Swanepoel

When you say convert the tickets to tasks, you mean the tasks in different projects? e.g. jIRA Software project?
