Hello,
I want to configure Email Approval using Email This Issue Plugin (JETI), but finding it to be very difficult to implement.
Jira Service Desk has default Approval Notification, but since it does not send Custom Field (Comment/Note to Approver) in Email Notification, I am trying to achieve this using Email This Issue Plugin.
I am following this Document, but still not able to successfully achieve it.
https://valiantys.com/en/blog/atlassian-administration/email-this-issue-for-jira-nfeed/
The blog article you mention shows a use case where you combine Email this Issue with Elements Connect (the new name for the app nFeed) in order to include data from custom fields that display external data (from a CMBD in the example) in the email templates.
If you are looking to implement the same use case as the blog, you will need to install Elements Connect in addition to JETI.
If your custom fields are not based off of external data, I would recommend looking at the JETI documentation or contacting Meta-Inf support for more help: https://metainf.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PLUG/pages/66093128/Tutorials
Hi @Laura Campbell _Elements_ ,
I already have elements connect, but its not needed in my use case.
As per below Documentation
https://metainf.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PLUG/pages/66093107/Configure+Email+Approval
I am stuck at Configure Field Rules, and not getting any help or resources to configure Context Filed Rules.
Any help is appreciated.
