Our customer portal has been configured to choose only between Open, Closed and All requests. Picking closed request work fine - all does as well but when choosing Open requests - both Open and closed are shown.
Are you setting the Resolution field when closing issues? If not please give that a try.
Should this be added as a Post function: Resolution = Done?

Most certainly if this is a classic project. Alternatively, if you want to support multiple resolution values you can add a screen to the transition and a Validator that the Resolution is set.
