Hello,
The company I work for uses Jira Service Management (version 4.15.0)
I am trying to find a way to change the password of the Jira Administrator (I know the password but want to change it for security reasons)
I logged in with the administrator's credentials and tried to do this via the administrator's profile, but could not find the way.
Could you please tell me how to change it?
Thank you in advance,
Aggeliki Karagioule
When you open a user you can "Administer user", and then the actions contain an option to "Set user's password". This should work for your own account even if you're logged into it as far as I remember.
Although, if your user comes from remote directory (e.g. ldap) then Jira will not allow you to change the password, since it doesn't store it, that must be done in the active directory. So what I'm trying to say you will not see the option unless the user is in the internal user directory.
Radek Dostál, you covered me with your reply.
The administrator account actually comes from Active Directory.
Thank you very much for your help,
Aggeliki Karagioule
