Can you make fields mandatory for agents before transitioning to another state in nex gen?

I'm using a nex gen project and I want to setup validators that will require agents to ensure fields are filled out before being allow to transition to another state. Specifically before a agent can transition to "Resolve" there are closing comments in the ticket. In the Legacy project you could setup validators that would not allow an agent to transition unless a field was filled out correctly...I dont see this in Nex Gen outside of a few rules you can apply but not one this covers this situation. Please advise

I took a quick look at an NG JSM test project (I don't currently use NG). You can setup rules  on a Transition within the workflow. The image below would be my best guess to give a try,

Jack...Yep l looked at that  and there is no option that would cover a required field like a comment to be added before going to "resolved"

yep. I was looking at it further as well. So, in fact, no you can't require input on NG. I took a quick look at JAC to see if there was an open suggestion to support validators but did not find, which seems odd as it would be one of my more important enhancement needs.

Maybe there are apps you could consider.
