Can we not allow customer based on portal groups or request type on Jira service management cloud?

Hi,

We have requirement to show customers the request types available based on there groups or role ?

We have different portal groups can we allow based on permissions for different customers different request types?

This is not possible, but please see Angelica's answer on this community post. As you will see, there is this open feature request for the functionality.

Thanks @Callum Carlile _Automation Consultants_  for response but do you have any idea when Atlassian will provide this as feature ? It seems feature  request pending since very long time 

It is very basic and very useful feature for most of use cases.

@Shubham Burghate I do not unfortunately, some of the tickets can be 'Gathering interest' for man years if they do not get enough votes/user interest.

A workaround I use is just removing the Create Issues permission for the roles/groups. The users will still be able to view the request in the portal and fill out all of the fields, however they will not be able to create the request. It is not ideal, but at least blocks them from creating it
