Can customers have different URL's in JSM?

Michele Longoria September 14, 2022

We have just implemented Jira Service Management at our company. We want to be able to use JSM to give our customers a portal to report issues. Is there a way where each different customer (companies) can have their own portal URL?

We will only want them to be able to see the tickets for their company.

@Michele Longoria

You can make multiple service projects in Jira Service Management.  Each has a unique URL that you can provide to the customer for the portal.  Your agents will also see each service project as a unique project thus you could name the service project by the customer's name.  If you leave the service project public (Anyone can submit an issue) then the different companies could potentially find the other service project in the portal since all portals map back to the Help Center.

If you group your customers in organizations you can restrict it so that they can only see tickets created with their organization, nothing else.

If the requirement is also to have different URLs you would either need different instances, or and app like Refined for jira which allows you create different sites.

Or you could have a project for each customer, but that could be a lot of projects. In that case the first part of the URL would be the same, but they would only have access to a specific project and would not be able to see any other.
