Can I create cascading dropdowns for portal groups & request types in the customer portal in Jira?
Instead of the large rectangle options you see, we would like to view one drop down that allows you select a portal group where once your selection is made the next drop down with all the request types is available. Once your portal group and request type are chosen from the drop downs we plan to have a series of drop downs and text fields for more details to report on.
Just to confirm, you want to modify how the Groups/Request Types show on the help portal?
If yes - this isn't possible to customise natively.

EDIT: Totally misread your question, I believe this is just a different way of organising the Portal view itself, rather than replacing a cascading field already being used. Edited out my comment as it wasn't relevant.
