Our institution (Stanford) uses 'shared mailboxes' for non-person email accounts, such as a service desk or support email. Can I bind by cloud Service Desk to such an account?

That should be no problem at all - we use a shared mailbox for the same thing.
Just be aware that if users are also using the mailbox you're likely to create lots of unnecessary tickets.

How do you set up the service project to use a shared mailbox? It requires you to log in, which requires a real user. Are there instructions somewhere I can use to make it work?
